Oil production in Russia last month edged up 0.4 percent compared to 10.46 million bpd in October. In tonnes, Russia's crude production stood at 42.984 million last month, the ministry said.
Russia plans to maintain its oil output - which together with gas production brings in around a half of the state's budget revenues - at no less than 10 million bpd till 2020.
Russian oil production remained above 9.9 million bpd, pumped by Saudi Arabia last month, thanks to an output surge at production sharing agreements (PSA) projects.
Since the summer, Saudi Arabia has been gradually lowering output, cutting production to 9.6 million bpd in the third quarter from 9.77 million bpd in the second quarter, according to the International Energy Agency.
Oil production under PSA - a scheme designed in the 1990s - rose 7.6 percent month-on-month in November to 1.23 million tonnes. PSA projects include Sakhalin-1 - involving Rosneft , ExxonMobil, ONGC, and Sodeco, Sakhalin-2 - involving Gazprom, Shell, Mitsui , and Mitsubishi as well as and Kharyaga - involving Total, Statoil, and Zarubezhneft.
The ministry did not provide a production breakdown for each of the projects. Also, production by small companies, which fall into the category of "other producers", increased by 2.4 percent on a daily basis to 3.6 million tonnes in November. Daily gas production jumped 9.7 percent month-on-month to 1.92 billion cubic metres (bcm). Gas output at the world's largest gas producer, Gazprom, rose 11 percent to 1.4 bcm a day last month.
